Sunday Church — all welcome
Family Church – 9:30am Sundays
Our main Family Service is at 9:30am. The style is informal and relaxed and, during school term, there’s a Sunday School for children 3 years of age and over.
The service is usually under an hour in length – and everyone is welcome to stay for a cuppa afterwards.
Our meetings are friendly and informal.
Early Church – 8:00am Sundays
At 8:00am most Sundays we offer a more traditional service. This is a small but friendly gathering. We sometimes combine with the 9:30am church gathering.
If you’re a local, you may have passed the end of our street many times – and you are always very welcome to visit us on a Sunday morning.

Frequently Asked Questions –
Am I allowed to come along?
Sure. St. Matthew’s is for everyone. No previous experience required! And you don’t need to be an Anglican either.
Does it cost anything to attend?
No.
Will I have to sign anything, give anything, or be singled out?
No. Rest assured that you won’t be put on the spot or embarrassed.
How long does church go for?
Usually a little less then an hour. There’s morning tea afterwards if you’d like to stay. (If you need to leave early, that’s OK too.)
What should I wear?
Whatever makes you feel comfortable. Casual wear is fine.
What about my kids?
Babies, children and teenagers are very welcome to stay in church.
If you wish, you can take babies and very young children into the creche where you can still feel very much a part of church.
At 9:30am church, after the introductory section of the service, there is Sunday School available for children from 3 years old to the end of Primary School. Sunday morning Youth Group caters for high schoolers.
What kind of church are you?
As an Anglican Church we treasure God’s word, the Bible, and seek to understand God’s message to us today. Our style of service is informal and friendly.
I haven’t been to church in years. Will I be welcome?
Absolutely!
