Church at Home — 23rd August 2020

Here is our online church service for Sunday, 23rd August 2020.

We hope you find it an encouragement and blessing.

Today we hear from Archbishop of Sydney Glenn Davies on how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected him. And he shares a wonderful verse of Scripture.

We also turn to Acts 13 and see something of the spiritual battle taking place in our world.

You might find it helpful to have Philippians 4:4-9 and Acts 13:1-12 open, to be ready to follow the Bible readings.

The event “From Sydney to the World”, mentioned during the prayers can be seen here.

And the mention of shells in Colin Buchanan’s song is a reference to this well-known sermon, twenty years ago, by John Piper.
